most people might not know but 2min is the only otp i’ve shipped right from the start of my shinee fandom, up until now. i guess it’s because i don’t invest time in it as much as i do for onkey but yes, i’ve always shipped 2min, i still am shipping them, and i probably will never stop doing so.

to me, watching 2min interact is like watching a perfect, ideal and carefree teenage romance. it’s like when i see them, they’re always the reckless kind of happy and stupid, and it just makes me feel happy. like they don’t really care about other people when they talk, or when they play, or when they just do anything together in general tbh.

i think 2min is the kind of otp that doesn’t post any burden or pressure on you, like sometimes there are overlapping otps that threaten your main ship and you feel like it’s such a bad thing and you get into a little jealous fit because half of your otp is acting ~closer~ to someone else. (i see a lot of this between the jongkey, onkey and minkey ships.) but with 2min, i never feel that way? i don’t ever feel that sort of jealousy whenever minho interacts with jonghyun or when taemin interacts with onew. idk why but i just never do? there’s just this sort of confidence i have that 2min is something sturdy and unbreakable. (LMFAO JESUS CHRIST, UNBREAKABLE.)

tldr; i see taemin and minho’s relationship as something that has a lot of loyalty in it. like, taemin would do his own thing and minho would whore out on some other people, but at the end of the day i just picture them seeing each other back at the dorm and having cereals at night and talking about how their day went before tucking each other to sleep. there’s some kind of silent trust that exists between them, and that’s probably the best thing i see in this otp.

the reason why i am, surprisingly, still shipping these two is because they constantly feed my “delusional” thoughts. like, i wouldn’t want to ship a pairing that gets exhausting after a while, where you have to squint your eyes to get something out of it. nobody would subject themselves to something like that in the first place.

but anyway, onkey kind of just “provides” for a fix every once in a while, you know? like, onew would slide his hand around key when you least expect him to. (actually, i never expect him to do skinship when the cameras are on. he just doesn’t seem to be the type to do pda.) or when key would suddenly say onew pays for his 91-line meals. or when onew would simply tell onkey fansite noonas that yes, he is aware of the pairing, or you know, he’d wear onkey stickers around his shirt, and then key would say, “not onkey but jinkibum”, and they would sign onbom’s cd with their otp name, and it’s just a d o r a b l e .

it may or may not be fanservice, there’s no actual way of telling when it comes to celebrity otps, but actions are actions and body language is universal, and you can tell from watching people’s interactions how they are with each other, even if you don’t know them irl.

what i see (along with my wonderful, delusional onkey friends on twitter SHOUT OUT TO Y’ALL) is that they /can/ be really comfortable with each other, and that they reached a certain level of being “chummy”, to the point that they give off a husband-wife kind of vibe. i mean, key calls him yeonggam/anata (rt: dear old man) and onew even calls himself “daddy” when he’s petting comme des.

so yes, that’s how i see them: as an old married couple (hence the onkey tag on my blog) with the husband willingly providing for the wife, the wife taking care of the little child at home, their backs hurting and their everything else being cute on every other occasion.

viv is the person who knows how much more embarrassing i was when i first stanned onkey.
